A beautiful vintage Afghan rug, a Felpah Turkman, pre-owned, clean.
Approx.
age 1980.
Hand-knotted, wool on cotton foundation.
Intense Burgundy Red (The Burgundy red is difficult to photograph - therefor the different pictures), typical Felpah Turkman design with elephant foot prints.
Felpah means Elephant foot.
The square design in the rug is similar to elephant foot mark that’s why it called Felpah.
