Overview The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to join our business office team.
The business office supports the financial operations of the agency through budget development and monitoring, payroll and expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, purchasing, vendor management and related operational functions of ADS.
Our mission is to work together with our partners in state government to deliver simple and intuitive technology solutions that improve the lives of the citizens of Vermont.

As a Financial Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Payroll Processing Timesheet Billing functions Agency Expense Coordinator Process document creation and maintenance Utilizing VTHR and VISION, the State's Peoplesoft based financial management system Collaborating with IT staff & leaders, including our CFO Providing support to other business office functions You'll work with a small team of finance and accounting professionals and will collaborate with other agency/department business offices and ADS staff.
We are seeking candidates with a background in accounting and/or finance and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, but additional years of work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree may be qualifying.

Environmental Factors Work is performed in a standard office setting.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in any discipline that includes or is supplemented by 20 credit hours in accounting AND two (2) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline AND four (4) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR Associate's degree AND six (6) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR High School diploma AND eight (8) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR One year as a Financial Manager I with the State of Vermont.
OR Certification as a CPA.
Special Requirements For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
