NKHS has an opening for a School Based Clinician at the Brownington Central School where you will provide trauma informed counseling services in the public school setting.
As an NKHS School Based Clinician you can apply concepts learned in graduate school with youth, families and school leaders.

The ideal candidate for a School Based Clinician is a recent graduate or in their final year of study for a Master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology and eligible for supervision towards VT licensure.

40 position working the school year (August-June), 16 hrs/week, with option to work summer program.

We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages.
NKHS has over 450 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school based counseling, emergency care, and respite services.

org Check out Life in the NEK of Vermont Responsibilities Provide comprehensive evaluation and assessment, behavior modification, transitional services, crisis intervention, training and consultation.
Support youth in addressing their social and emotional needs in an effort to build resiliency, strengthen efficacy and build skills for addressing identified mental health needs.
Provide outpatient treatment, individual, family, or group counseling to identified students.
Participate in the development of overall client treatment plans.
Ability to effectively communicate/support parents/guardians of youth served Ability to partner with public school team staff in an embedded environment.
High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks daily.
Ability to collaborate with community resources.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology preferred.
Will consider candidates in the last year of completing Master's degree requirements.
Experience working with adolescents, families and therapeutic school settings a plus.
Ability to build therapeutic relationships with students who have challenges regulating their emotions/behaviors in school settings Ability to effectively communicate/support parents/guardians of youth served Ability to partner with public school team staff in an embedded environment.
High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks daily.
SALARY & BENEFITS $25.
29/hr plus, depending upon education and experience ($22.
88/hr plus if not Master's level) Tuition & continuing education reimbursements and loan repayment program.
