The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for using innovative teaching techniques to train our staff in best practices and treatment modalities related to aging, within the context of our resident-centered care philosophy.
*Key Qualities:*
* Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills including effective communication and problem-solving.
* Embrace a collaborative and team approach by working with:
* All members of the Health Services team
* All Wake Robin Departments
* Comfortable designing, developing, and maintaining annual education calendars.
* Embrace a “continually learning” mindset to research and develop cutting edge approaches for best practices.
* Able to assess skills competency for all staff.
* Participate in training non-clinical staff that includes EMR, safety, and staff development.
*Education and Experience:*
* Current VT license as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a trainer/educator
* Demonstrated knowledge in gerontological health preferred.
*Compensation:*
Starts at $77,459/year, increases depending on experience.
Must be vaccinated for COVID.
