Overview The Child Development Division, Children's Integrated Services (CIS) Team is looking for a part time (maintain a schedule of approximately 24 hours per week to ensure the allowable 1,280 hours are not exceeded in the calendar year) Administrative Services Coordinator I.
This person will coordinate administrative functions of the CIS team, in coordination with The Child Development Division's Administrative Services Coordinator III.
This position is housed at the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC), but CIS supports a hybrid work environment.
Upon hire, employees will work with their supervisor to create a schedule that aligns with their needs and the needs of the CIS team.
This work is assistive in nature and focuses on extending the capabilities of professional or managerial positions.
Key responsibilities associated with this position include: • Assist the Data Coordinator in managing data collection, analysis, and reporting related to CIS, especially CIS-Early Intervention and its federal reporting requirements; • Manage the payment system for Vermont's CIS-Early Intervention providers, including but not necessarily limited to establishing Prior Authorizations, processing invoices, and troubleshooting denials or other issues; • Recommend changes to office procedures to adopt management decisions and policies; • Identify problems in administrative workflow, evaluate and recommend alternative administrative processes.

Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time.
The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors Work is performed in a standard office setting.
Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR Two years of full-time college coursework OR and Associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.
OR One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.
NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying.
Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.
g.
, accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in administrative services; • Experience with basic budgeting and accounting practices; • Experience with data management; • Familiarity and comfort with computers and technology, including the MicroSoft Office suite of programs Special Requirements For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
